How does VIB3S work at a ski resort?

VIB3S is a shared mobility platform for events, with its own app and a web widget. It connects skiers heading up to your resort on the same day from the same city or area so they travel together, there and back, and split the cost of the trip. The resort activates VIB3S across its channels (website, online sales, email or social media) and gets a dashboard showing the cities its audience travels from, demand by time slot, occupancy per vehicle and the CO₂ reduced on the trips taken.

How much does it cost to activate VIB3S at my resort?

We combine a fixed fee (per season or annual) with a revenue share on your skiers' rides: 100% is yours until you recover what you paid in fees, then it splits 50/50 from there. So the more you activate VIB3S with your skiers, the more chances you have to recover your investment and earn money, while we charge a static fee. For your skiers, signing up and using VIB3S is always free.

Is this only for one specific weekend, or for the whole season?

It runs for whatever period you decide. The difference with a one-day event is that your resort's community stays active weekend after weekend: someone who already shared a ride posts their trip again the following week and tends to run into people doing the same journey. Each drive up is posted and booked independently, so every skier picks the day, the time and the pick-up point without committing to anything else.

Does car sharing really ease the base car park?

It helps, and it adds up. When four skiers drive up in the same car, that's three fewer vehicles hunting for a space at the base that day. It doesn't replace the car park or any other way of getting there: it's one more option, and it takes pressure off exactly during the peak arrival hours, which is when the problem shows. The dashboard also tells you how many shared trips were made and what time they arrive, so you can size the base better on your busiest weekends.

Is it any use on an access road with limited capacity?

That's where it shows most. On a single-lane mountain road, with snow-chain restrictions and everyone driving up in the same window, every vehicle that doesn't come counts. VIB3S won't promise you a specific traffic reduction, but every shared seat is a car that doesn't drive up, and you get the data on how many trips were shared and which time slots the arrivals cluster into, so you can anticipate the peaks.

Does VIB3S replace buses or public transport to the resort?

No, it complements them. Shared cars absorb part of the access demand, especially from skiers coming from cities and areas no line covers well, or at times when there's no service. Your official transport carries less pressure and, with the origin data VIB3S provides, you can size it better: you know which cities generate enough demand and which time slots it concentrates in.

A lot of our skiers come from far-away cities. Does it work for them?

They're exactly the profile it fits best. Two or three hours of driving from the city, fuel and tolls, and almost always one person inside the car. VIB3S connects whoever is looking for a seat with whoever can offer one on that same route, splits the cost between the occupants and lets them arrange the way back too. For skiers without a car, or who don't want to make the trip alone, it's a way up that used to depend on knowing someone with a spare seat.

What mobility data does the resort get, and what is it for?

You get a dashboard with the cities and areas your skiers travel from, the routes with most demand, who's looking for a seat and who's offering a car, arrival and departure peaks, occupancy per vehicle and the CO₂ reduced on trips actually taken and validated by VIB3S. It's there to size the base car park, anticipate the access road's peak hours, decide where to communicate, and feed your sustainability reports and mobility plans.

What does our team have to do in the middle of the season?

Very little: an internal point of contact and access to the resort's communication channels. VIB3S sets up the platform, adds your resort, activates the community, manages the relationship with end users and handles support. Your team doesn't run the platform day to day, which is precisely what it can't take on in high season. You decide where to activate it and when to communicate it, and you log into the dashboard whenever you want to see the data.

Do skiers have to download an app?

Not to get started. With the widget embedded on the resort's website or in your communications, they can see published trips, post their own and request a seat without downloading anything. The VIB3S app unlocks the rest of the features: chat with the driver, profile, trip history and ratings. That double route matters in skiing, where a good share of the audience comes up occasionally and won't install anything just for one weekend.

Can we use the community as a communication channel with skiers?

Yes, and it's one of the reasons resorts activate it. Your resort's official community inside VIB3S works as a channel for notices, timings, information and last-minute changes, reaching an audience that is already organising the trip up at that moment. It's also a promotion space for your own campaigns and your sponsors, with the advantage that the conversation happens inside your community instead of scattered across private groups.

Can we use this in our sustainability report?

Yes. VIB3S doesn't hand you a theoretical estimate: the figure you get is the CO₂ reduced on trips actually taken and validated by the platform, alongside the shared cars and the kilometres involved. It's a metric you can take to your sustainability report, your mobility plan or a conversation with sponsors, and it keeps growing as the season advances because it's measured on real trips, not on intentions.
