Monegros Desert Festival returns on Saturday 31 July 2027 for its 34th edition, at the same desert site in Fraga (Huesca). It's one of Spain's longest-running electronic music festivals: a techno and electronic marathon in the middle of the Aragonese steppe. The 2026 edition drew around 60,000 people from 92 countries and sold out for the first time, and the first 5,000 Early Bird tickets for 2027 went on sale on 30 July 2026, just days after the date was announced. The 2027 lineup hasn't been announced yet.

The festival takes place in the Monegros desert, right off the N-II road at km 416, in the municipality of Fraga (Huesca). It's a semi-arid landscape with no natural shade, far from any town, and no regular public transport reaches it. You get there by car or on the official buses sold by the festival, and the organisers recommend several people per car.

- ✓Minimum age: in 2026 it was 18 with official ID; tickets are name-assigned and only sold through official channels (in 2026, Enterticket and RebelTickets).
- ✓The 2027 schedule hasn't been published. In 2026 the music ran from Saturday 2 PM to Sunday 12 noon, so plan on spending the whole night in the desert.
- ✓Late July in Los Monegros means serious daytime heat: sunscreen, a cap and water all the time. It cools down at night, so bring a warm layer.
- ✓Closed, comfortable shoes: the ground is dusty and you'll be on your feet for many hours.
- ✓The festival has no campsite (in 2026 it offered accommodation + ticket packs) and camping in the car park is not allowed.
- ✓If you drive, don't go alone: the organisers recommend 4–5 people per car and warn of queues lasting several hours in and out.
- ✓When you park, note the festival's towers and signs: the car park is huge.

Fraga and Lleida
Fraga is the nearest town and Lleida is about 40 minutes away by car on the A-2. Limited rooms on festival dates: book well in advance.
Zaragoza
The biggest hotel supply in Aragón, a little over an hour away by car on the A-2. A good base if you share a ride there and back.
Motorhome
In 2026 there was a dedicated motorhome car park, with no water or hook-ups. Wait for the official 2027 maps.
