You can't take the metro to the desert: Monegros takes planning
- The venue is in the middle of the desert, at N-II km 416 in Fraga: no regular public transport reaches the gate
- The organisers themselves warn that arrival and departure are the busiest moments, with queues of several hours
- In 2026 around 60,000 people came and the festival sold out for the first time
- From Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid or Valencia, everyone driving separately multiplies fuel, tolls and queues

When is Monegros 2027?
Saturday 31 July 2027. It will be the 34th edition of Monegros Desert Festival. The 2027 schedule hasn't been published yet; for reference, in 2026 the music started on Saturday at 2 PM and ended on Sunday at 12 noon.
Where is Monegros 2027 held?
At the usual site: the Monegros desert, at km 416 of the N-II road, in the municipality of Fraga (Huesca).
How do I get to Monegros without a car?
There's no regular public transport to the venue. The festival usually sells official return buses from several cities, but the 2027 routes haven't been published yet: check the 'How to arrive' section at monegrosfestival.com. The other option is to share a car with someone from your city via VIB3S.
Is there parking at Monegros?
In 2026 the festival set up parking areas inside the venue, included with your ticket and split by where you're coming from. The 2027 conditions haven't been published yet. What the organisers do keep repeating: fill your car and arrive early.
How do I get back from Monegros?
Leaving is one of the busiest moments of the festival and the organisers warn of queues lasting several hours, with buses given priority. If you're carpooling, agree the return time on VIB3S — and who drives well-rested — before you leave home.
Which cities can I carpool from to Monegros?
Any. The most natural routes are from Lleida, Zaragoza, Huesca and Barcelona, but also from Madrid, Valencia, Pamplona or Bilbao.
