Parking for Blackworks Bilbao 2026 — where to park at the BEC in Barakaldo

Where to park for Blackworks Festival Bilbao (Saturday 28 November, 8pm to 6am) and how to sort the early Sunday ride home by sharing a car.

Schedule — Blackworks Bilbao 2026

Times

8pm – 6am

One night only, from Saturday 28 to Sunday 29 November. Over-18s only.

Saturday November 28

A big car park, thousands of people and a 6am exit

  • Driving alone means paying for a whole night's parking on your own
  • At 6am everyone leaves at once and getting out of the car park slows down
  • After a ten-hour session, driving back to Santander, Vitoria or Donostia alone isn't the best idea
  • Cercanías doesn't run overnight and the metro is on its night timetable: a shared car is the most direct option

Where to park for Blackworks Bilbao

The BEC has its own car park underneath the venue. Here's what we know:

BEC car park (Bilbao Exhibition Centre)

at the venue

According to official BEC information, the car park is covered, holds around 4,000 vehicles and is split into colour-coded zones; the orange zone has the exits closest to Bizkaia Arena. It's paid, and prices and opening hours can vary by event: the organiser hasn't published conditions for this night, so check the BEC website before you go.

Street parking in Barakaldo, or no car at all

If you don't use the venue car park, the alternative is street parking in Barakaldo: respect driveways, crossings and local signage. And if you live in Bilbao or along the left bank, Ansio station (Metro Bilbao line 2) drops you next to the BEC's north entrance with no parking needed; for the way back, check that night's service on metrobilbao.eus.

Share the ride with VIB3S: one car with four people is one parking ticket instead of four.

Fewer cars, shorter exit queue: carpool

If four of you travel in one car, you take up a single space, split fuel, tolls and parking four ways and the 6am ride home is agreed before you go in. And whoever drives can plan to rest or take turns.

Post the early Sunday return too

The hard part isn't getting there, it's getting home at 6am. Create the return trip in the app, pick a specific zone of the car park to meet and leave together as soon as the session ends.

The 6am exit is the critical moment

  • Hundreds of cars trying to leave the car park at once
  • No Cercanías until Sunday morning service starts
  • Sorting your return group before you go in avoids waiting and rushing
